Our Love Story

Dara was a surf photographer fresh back from a long backpacking trip to Australia, and I was a Martial Arts instructor and freelance graphic designer when we first met at a friend’s bonfire on the beach. When I walked up to the fire, Dara immediately caught my eye, and I was hers in about 30 seconds.

I can’t really explain the connection we had…  It felt like we could just sit together, smiling forever without saying anything.  This peaceful tingle kind of took hold of me every time she smiled, and immediately I knew that I wanted to see that smile every day!

Our Wedding

We love watching this video – it totally reminds us how in love we are with each other We didn’t have our wedding video edited until recently – so, watching this is especially crazy!

Our Shooting Style

For us, it is all about the connection we make with people.  Whether we are interacting directly or tapping into a candid moment, we see ourselves as mirrors on the wall, reflecting back on the beautiful people and moments we experience.

There is nothing natural about having a huge camera in your face, but when you feel comfortable with the person behind the lens, your pictures will start to pick up your true personality without any effort.

“Acting” natural is nearly impossible, but we are pretty good at sneaking it out of you

Our Business Model

Again, it is all about people.  Taking pictures is cool, but really our job is to serve people and have fun doing it.  I realize that it might sound counter intuitive or cliche, but serving others is the best way we know how to feel truly content.
